"The pros of UOP are the flexibility of classes and the available resources. The main con of UOP is the cost of a private education."

"I really like that the class sizes are smaller than I was expecting. I think it creates a better learning atmosphere. I think the biggest con is the price of the program. Another school I was looking at was half of the price as the one I am in. However, it didn't work out and so I am now here."

"I have no issues with the graduate program, I like that I am able to take classes at a slow pace and I don't have to stay with a specific group. But as far as academic counselor the school is doing students a disservice to constantly changing their academic counselor. I have had 5 so far. This has not served any purpose for me. I don't understand the turnover problems that they have in the academic advisement area. This needs to be changed. I know there has to be a better way for students. It becomes impersonal when they are constantly changine advisors."

"I feel one of the pros of this graduate program is the experience and level of education of our faculty. All the instructors I have had the opportunity to work with are very knowledgeable about the subject they are teaching. Since the instructors are also professionals in the field as well as instructors they provide the students with excellent real live examples and experiences. I feel this helps an individual planning to work in public service working with other people in a therapy setting. A second pro of this program is having a small group of like students and professionals that can add their own expertise and experiences. The only con is that it is very expensive."

"So far I am enjoying my graduate program. I plan on going the course and completing it. I actually wish that I had more background in the subject. The pro is that my class is a hybrid course, online and in person. I am on a learning team and the professor give instant feedback often. I really appreciate my academic advisor and my financial aid advisor who are on top of everything."

"The University of Phoenix believes in hands on delivery of curriculum and affords students the opportunity to create meaningful products. However, UoP must take better care to use clarity when writing syllabi."

"Pros The graduate program has allowed me to be detailed in my search for the right career. I have gained knowledge of what is required in the current work force. The program has allowed me to build on my skills, and also why certain skills are important. Cons The graduate program has hard time in networking in real time the connect with the career placement, not enough real company placements. Links are provided but not taken seriously for hire."

"There are more pros to attending college than there are cons. Unfortunately the things that hold you back seem much more drastic than that of what is beneficial in the educational journey. Attending a fast paced school has its setbacks and can be quite demanding at times but the support and resources that are available allow for success. As a wife and mother of five children I have to juggle my life and care for the lives of others. At times it is a struggle but I know that in the end the results would be rewarding. The graduate program that I am attending has a numerous amount of support and resources that are all included in the cost of my tuition. This allows for a much more successful graduation rate."

"This is a good program for working people. I go to class one night a week and only have one class at a time, which is good for me. All of my teachers are working professionals in the field, so I learn so much from them and what they have to tell me from what they have learned from being out in the field. The only con is working in teams. I am not sure how this will help me in the future."

"The pros of my graduate program are the accessibility of the schedule of classes. I have a very busy work schedule and if the university did not have accelerated classes I would not have been able to attend the program or any in class program. One con is that the workload could be overwhelming at times, as far as the required readings, but you just have to take time for that."

"The faculty is fantastic as well as the application process and the support you get from the staff. The downfall is the financial aid system and how it is disbursed as well as the cost of school"

"I absolutely love University of Phoenix Houston campus. Going to class once a week for four hours allows me to obtain a full time job, and still have time for my son. I also like the learning team structure they have it teaches you how to be a part of a team especially at your place of employment."
