"I appreciate the Human Service Degree. Not only am I culturally diversified to assist all type of beings with numerous barriers, but I was able to self reflect and learn much within myself. I did not always favor learning team assignments, but in the real world, you can not always pick who you work with. My cohort was pretty bright and promising to the industry and I found they were very passionate and knowledgeable. Yes there is always one or two individuals who do not take themselves or education seriously and it makes graduates like me who excelled and love to be challenged, look bad or give University of Phoenix a bad name; and that is unfortunate."

"Some of the pros of the MBA graduate program is that it will allow me to use the skills I learn and apply them to my current job industry. Not only will it enhance my management skills, it will also allow for better job opportuniites in my aviation career. There are really no cons that I can think of for the MBA program. I suppose a con for me would be the 18 hour day once a week which is not terribly bad."

"The pros are that I will be able to walk across a stage for my degree and feel the hard work accomplished. The con is I have to travel 3 hours to make it to my graduation"

"I found it very stressful to juggle being a full-time worker, single mother of three, and finding the time to complete all of my course work. The 5 week courses sound good in theory, but personally, my reality was that it was very difficult. You have the reading and work of a full college courses crammed into 5 short weeks. This equals to no time for family or sleep."

"At the university of Phoenix, the entire staff collaborate to ensure a successful degree completion for all students. Class sizes are small and intimate which allows great dialogue and hands on learning during class sessions. The learning team experience is unique in itself because it creates a bond with students that otherwise may not otherwise had communicated with one another. The learning teams, are an essential attribute in todays work field, and although periodically members may experience don't difficulties, benefits also learn problem solving skills. The experience that I've gained at university of Phoenix, stretches far beyond the excellent book knowledge. My practicum knowledge directly can be tied back to my college matriculation at Phoenix. Collaboratively, I feel confident in my career choice. I owe that to my school. I am a Phoenix."

"I feel that the graduate program allows me as a person to have an equal opportunity to learn with the small class sizes and availability. The pros of my graduate program is the great instructors who works hard to provide excellent workshops with detail information, life experiences, and real world issues today. The con is classes last only 6 weeks."

"The pros of my graduate program is that we have a learning team in every class. Everyone is so different and have specialties in many areas. This is extremely helpful when doing homework assignments. I have not faced any cons at this time. I got my bachelors degree from UOP and I enjoy the layout and teachers."

"I feel that it is a good college for the most part. I did receive excellent instruction from some of my professors, was able to do both online and ground campus to complete my degree. It is a little overpriced, but for the flexibility of the program I feel it was a good start for me."

"I find the instructors were knowledgeable and provided practical insight into the field that I plan to enter. The team assignments were excessive considering that most of the students are adult learners with ample experience working in team settings in the real world. Overall, I'd recommend the school to the working adult. I recommend that any students considering graduate degrees ensure that the appropriate accreditation exists for their programs."

"I don't mean to sound like an advertisement, but I honestly feel, University of Phoenix provides you with all the resources you need to be successful. I share this with anyone you asks. From the academic support provided by faculty and ecampus tools, to the friendly reminders from academic and financial advisors both via email and phone. I can't even miss a class without getting an email and phone call from my advisor to check if everything is okay. From entering the program to the amazing commencement you really feel the support. That is what brought me back to pursue my MSN after having completed my BSN. If I have to mention a con it would be expense. Although expensive, they do provide financial aid support in addition to providing sites to apply for scholarships."

"The University of Phoenix Southern California is a great choice for a working student. The graduate program of Marriage Family Therapy is a rigorous program because the program focuses on one class at a time. Classes are on campus and are every six weeks to eight week courses. The courses are taught by LMFTs or PHds. therefore an extremely high standard is expected. It is important to note that cohorts or learning teams are a requirement therefore it is important to learn to get along with different personalities and remain professionals. The great part of this graduate program is no thesis but be advise there is individual papers due every week which is the same as a thesis. Also there is learning team projects due almost ever week too. There is the rigor of two huge check points in the program and they are called portfolios. Portfolio I is the entrance into the program which is six weeks at the very beginning and is a competency for the program. Portfolio II is the midway check point if the student is mastering the classes and it is a tough experience and many people do not make it but the professors are supportive. The only negative issue with this type of program is the usage of e-books because in the Marriage Family Therapy field it is important to keep your books for reference."

"I go to a ground-based campus, and the curriculum is fantastic, just the right amount of book and practical application of work. In the end it will make me a more well-rounded individual and manager."

"The pros to attending University of Phoenix are I can still work full-time and attend school which is a huge plus for me because I am the only wage earner in my family and could not afford to reduce my wages in order to attend school. Another pro is the University of Phoenix accepted many of my transfer credits, reducing the length of my degree program. The only con for me is the distance I have to travel to attend the Phoenix campus, it is 44 miles one way, but well worth the travel!"

"I feel this school has a lot to offer and gives the student back what they put into it. This college gives adults the opportunity to work on a degree while working and raising a family."

"University of Phoenix is a great institution for full-time working adults as myself. UoP is affordable and classes move quickly. Instructors are top notch and always available. I have made many friends and created many business contacts with other students in my class...as they are full-time working adults as well. For me, this is working out quite well."

"It's been a long haul, I received my Bachelor's in 2013 and went right back in to start my Graduate program. I have about 2 more years left before I graduate with that, and my overall opinion of this program has been good. There have been good groups, bad groups, and some mid groups that I would neither like or dislike being on the same team again. Some classes would have been nice to have longer then the normal 6-8 weeks to learn, while others could have been cut out completely to save time and money."
