"Overall, a top program. Great flexibility and possibility to take courses at different departments (economics, statistics, political science, and so on)."

"The graduate physics program at Chicago is superb. Everything academic is amazing. You mentors, classmates, lessons, etc. The only downside to UChicago is Hyde Park. While it's not the worst area ever, it is certainly laking in the restaurants/bars. However, if you have a car, it is extremely easy to drive up to the City and explore the vast amount of stuff there. There are buses that go up town, but expect an hours trip each way."

"Great program with great faculty. Well structured to get you done with classes quickly and on to your research. A little inflexible in terms of choosing a lab outside your subject area, but faculty within the department are great mentors."

"Pros: World-class education, great faculty access, and critical constructive feedback on all work. Cons: Expensive, too many incredible classes offered that one cannot possibly take them all."

"The program has a great supportive community and there are many resources for academic support and stimulation as long as you take advantage of them. The rigor is high and work is intense, but leaves you a much stronger scholar."

"Pritzker is a great place to learn! With the small class size, students have access to faculty and staff, and there are unparalleled opportunities to be involved in the school and community. Chicago is such a vibrant, diverse city and there are always new adventures to discover. Great program, amazing students and faculty, and awesome geographical location!"

"The Psychology PhD program is incredible, but be prepared to work like you have never worked before. There are both internal and external pressures to start thinking about your publication record from day one, which makes sense given that the program is ideally geared toward individuals who will be seeking tenure-track academic positions. Cross-lab and cross-departmental collaborations are not uncommon, which is nice."

"The Urban Teacher Education Program at University of Chicago is unique in the level of support that it offers, not just to its current students, but also to its recent graduates. I have not heard of another teacher certification program that gives its graduates three full years of support as they navigate their first years of teaching. The cohort model is amazing and makes the high expectations from faculty worth it because we know we are going through it together. If you are at all interested in teaching in an urban environment, I strongly recommend checking out UTEP at University of Chicago."

"University of Chicago Booth school of business MBA programs is one of the best in the country. As a student, if I decide to take advantage of every resource the school offers, than I will graduate with the skill sets and a network that will allow me to get a great job. However, the tuition is one of the most expensive in the country. My concern is making sure that the return on investment is high enough. There are two ways for me to do that. One way is to take full advantage of everything the school offers. The second way is to apply for grants and scholarships to reduce the overall price of tuition. Hopefully you will be able to help me with that."

"SSA is great. Hyde Park is really just so-so. The sketch factor is alive, so safety at night can be questionable. That said, it is SUPER affordable!"
